FAQs at Buffalo Turners Gymnastics

What is the difference between Pre-School and Gym-Tots or Kinder and Gym-Kids?
The curriculum is the same in both programs. The difference is your commitment. Pre-School and Kinder classes run for the school year, September through May. You pay an annual registration fee and a monthly tuition. Gym-Tots and Gym-Kids classes are conducted in a session of eight weeks for a flat fee. At the end of each session, you must register for the next session if your child is to continue.

What should my child wear?
All girls are required to wear a one piece leotard with no skirt attached or biketard. No tights, leggings or pants should be worn but lycra shorts are permitted. Boys should wear shorts and t-shirt (not tank top) tucked into shorts if it extends past the waist. Children may wear socks or work in bare feet, but no shoes. The adult participating in a Mom or Dad & Me class must wear socks. Jewelry is limited to small, stud-type pierced earring only.

What type of payment is accepted?
Payment may be made in cash or by check or money order. Online banking where the check is sent from the bank may also be used. At this time, credit or debit cards are not accepted nor can we take direct payments from your bank account.

Are there make-up classes when my child misses a class?
Unfortunately, due to the number of students now enrolled, we are unable to offer make-ups if a class is missed. There is also no credit or refund for missed classes.

Is the Gym closed if schools are closed?
If the Ken-Ton Schools close for inclement weather or emergency situations, the Gym will also be closed. This does not include holidays unless scheduled, half days, early dismissals, conference days or staff development days. Closing announcements will be placed on Channel 2 – WGRZ-TV, Channel 4 – WIVB-TV and Channel 7 – WKBW-TV as well as on their websites. If possible, closing announcements will be on our Facebook page and on our answering machine. Always check the calendar for scheduled closings.
